No one expects to meet the person they will marry the first night of college. It was Kelsey's first night out at the University of Kentucky. Chris was a sophomore and they met at a house shared by mutual friends. Kelsey was just 18 years old and Chris was 19! After a few months of spending time together with friends, Chris asked Kelsey out on a date in October of 1998. After nearly seven years of moving, starting new jobs, breaking up, getting back together, plus sharing many fun vacations... they realized they were meant to be together forever. Kelsey graduated from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism with her master's degree on June 18th, 2005. Her family was there, including Chris, to celebrate her big accomplishment. After a short reception that afternoon with professors, friends and family, Chris and Kelsey went to get the car for the rest of the group. It was a beautiful day in Evanston, Illinois, just north of Chicago. They were walking hand-in-hand taking in the gorgeous surroundings. There on the sidewalk in Evanston, Chris got down on one knee and asked Kelsey to marry him. It was the easiest question Kelsey ever had to answer.

From Frederica Street, turn onto Scherm Road that runs along Kentucky Weslyan College. Turn left at University Drive and park in any of the lots behind the college. In the unlikely event of rain, the ceremony will be held at the RiverPark Center.
The wedding attire for guests is semi-formal.
From the ceremony, turn left on Frederica Street. Follow Frederica Street to First Street, turn right. The RiverPark Center is at First and Daviess. Parking in the parking garage across the street from the Center is free.

HOTEL INFORMATION
The Executive Inn Rivermont is only about three blocks from the reception site -- definitely walking distance -- while The Hampton Inn is a bit closer to the wedding site. It's a small town so there's only about 3 miles difference between the two hotels. Both are good choices. At this point, our wedding discount is only scheduled to apply if you book prior to MAY 1. Rooms may be difficult to book after our block is released due to the large number of youth baseball leagues that play tournaments throughout the summer in our area, so we encourage you to get your room now and cancel if your plans change before the wedding date.
AIRLINE INFORMATION
If you are flying, you can book an American Eagle flight directly in to Owensboro.
Other nearby airports with a larger selection of carriers are Evansville, Indiana (45 miles), Louisville, Kentucky (110 miles) and Nashville, TN (140 miles).
